NADA Germany welcomes the State Minister for Sport and Volunteering to Bonn

01.09.2025

On 1 September 2025, the National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA Germany) welcomed the State Minister for Sport and Volunteering, Dr Christiane Schenderlein, to Bonn for a joint exchange.

The NADA Germany Executive Board presented the Anti-Doping work in Germany and, together with NADA Germany experts, illustrated to the State Minister the broad spectrum of its tasks and activities, from Education and the Testing Programme to Analytics. Also present were the heads of the two WADA-accredited laboratories in Cologne and Kreischa, who provided an insight into doping analysis. A tour of the NADA Germany premises on the UN campus in the federal city rounded off the State Minister's visit, which was very beneficial for NADA Germany.

The State Minister for Sport and Volunteering, Dr Christiane Schenderlein, assured NADA Germany and the anti-doping laboratories of her full support and emphasised: "The fight against doping in sport is particularly important to me, because doping prevents fair sporting competition and is therefore completely contrary to the essence of sport. As a centre of excellence for anti-doping work, NADA Germany, like the anti-doping laboratories in Cologne and Kreischa, makes an important contribution both nationally and internationally to competitive equality in top-level sport and to a globally uniform culture of applying anti-doping rules."

"Sustainable anti-doping work is characterised by continuity, rigour and transparency. At the same time, innovation and further development play a decisive role in the successful future of anti-doping work in Germany. We were delighted to discuss these important cornerstones of our work with State Minister Dr Schenderlein and to present to her the important work we do in promoting clean sport," said NADA Germany Chairman Dr Lars Mortsiefer.
