NADA Germany informs state investigative authorities

26.11.2025

On November 26 2025, the National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA Germany) hosted this year's digital workshop for state investigative authorities.

Participants not only received technical input, but also had the opportunity to exchange ideas with each other. NADA Germany employees provided information on current developments in the areas of law, testing programme, and medicine in compact presentations and introduced the agency's current intelligence and investigation work.

The program was expanded to include presentations by external experts. Representatives from the so-called priority public prosecutor's offices for doping crimes, the customs investigation service, the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), the Institute for Doping Analysis and Sports Biochemistry Dresden (IDAS), and the Institute for Biochemistry at the German Sport University Cologne reported on their current anti-doping work. In addition, the BKA Vienna contributed perspectives from international cooperation.

Close cooperation with state investigative agencies remains a central component of NADA Germany's effective anti-doping measures. Through formats such as this workshop, NADA Germany supports both the exchange of knowledge and networking among the participating institutions.

Around 50 representatives from police stations and state criminal investigation offices from all 16 federal states, public prosecutors' offices, the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), the Customs Criminal Investigation Office, and the Customs Investigation Service took part in the event.
