Ice Hockey: Decision in the Fox case

Ice Hockey player Dane Fox has been sanctioned with a three-month ban for an anti-doping rule violation (Article 2.1 of the Anti-Doping Regulations of the German Ice Hockey Federation (DEB-ADO)) in accordance with Article 10.2.4.1 DEB-ADO. The athlete tested positive for the substance tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) (substance class S8 cannabinoids on the Prohibited List of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)), which is prohibited in competition, by the National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA Germany) on 22 December 2024. The ban begins on 17 June 2025 and ends on 16 September 2025.

All competition results of Dane Fox achieved in the period from 22/12/2024 to 17/06/2025 will be cancelled with all resulting consequences, including the forfeiture of medals, points and prizes, in accordance with Article 10.10 DEB-ADO.

The decision is not yet legally binding. In principle, it will become legally binding at the end of 14 July 2025.
