Anna Schaffelhuber speaks about competitive sport at a seminar for teachers organised by NADA Germany and DOA

18.11.2025

In cooperation with the German Olympic Academy (DOA), the National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA Germany) held a seminar for teachers as part of its education programme GEMEINSAM GEGEN DOPING (TOGETHER AGAINST DOPING). The event was held under the motto ‘Sporty – Fair – Clean’.

Participants received valuable input on teaching values and anti-doping education in schools. In addition to practical content for teaching, the training also provided an opportunity for interdisciplinary exchange on how these topics can be integrated into everyday school life in a sustainable manner.

A particular highlight was the talk and Q&A session with Anna Schaffelhuber, seven-time Paralympic champion, eleven-time world champion in monoski bobsleigh and teacher of mathematics and economics at a secondary school, who provided exciting insights into competitive sport. In addition, the topic of medicine abuse in popular and recreational sports was examined together with the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB).

Teachers are a key target group in doping education, as they convey fundamental values and accompany pupils on their sporting and personal journeys.
