At the invitation of Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Faeser, the National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA Germany) presented the "Home match for fairness " education campaign 100 days before the opening match of UEFA EURO 2024. The campaign is part of the "Home match for Europe" project initiated by the Ministry of the Interior and Community (BMI). NADA Germany and the Federal Institute of Sports Science (BISp) cover the topic of doping education.
The education campaign "Home match for fairness" includes a social media campaign with young athletes and the ambassadors of the host cities, who draw attention to the important values and health issues in sport. On April 23, 2024, the German Football Museum in Dortmund will host the conference “Over-the-counter and therefore safe? Dietary supplements and painkillers in soccer and other team sports" organized by NADA Germany and BISp. During UEFA EURO 2024, target groups will be able to gain an immersive impression of athletes' decision-making situations with 360° videos at NADA Germany's TOGETHER AGAINST DOPING interaction stands.
As part of UEFA EURO 2024, the BMI is particularly supporting projects that use the unifying element of soccer to bring fans from Germany and Europe together outside the stadiums. The Federal Government's vision is a sustainable and diverse "Home match for Europe" - a tournament for all, with respect and tolerance at its heart.
