22.07.2026

On 22 July 2026, the National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA Germany) welcomed the Chairwoman of the German Bundestag's Committee on Sport and Volunteering, Aydan Özoğuz, to Bonn. The SPD Member of the German Bundestag visited NADA Germany to learn about the wide-ranging tasks involved in anti-doping work in Germany and to gain an insight into the organisation’s work.

Experts from NADA Germany presented the organisation’s broad remit and provided insights into its Education and communication work, as well as the doping testing system. A guided tour of NADA Germany’s facilities rounded off the visit.

Aydan Özoğuz, Chairwoman of the German Bundestag Committee on Sport and Volunteering: “It is important to me to get a first-hand impression on the ground and to see how the National Doping Agency of Germany works to promote clean sport. Doping has no place in sport. I am fascinated by genuine achievements for which athletes endure many hardships. For this, they deserve our support. And fair competition relies on the vital work carried out by NADA Germany.”

“We are delighted to welcome Ms Özoğuz here in Bonn. Regular dialogue with representatives from the world of sport and politics is invaluable to our work. Support and an understanding of the challenges involved in anti-doping work are essential prerequisites for further strengthening the protection of clean athletes,” summarised NADA Germany Chairman of the Executive Board Dr Lars Mortsiefer.
