NADA Germany and DOA organise a joint training course for teachers

04.11.2026

In collaboration with the German Olympic Academy (DOA), the National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA) organised a digital training course for teachers as part of its ‘TOGETHER AGAINST DOPING’ education programme. Under the motto “Sporting – Fair – Clean”, teachers from various types of schools received practical guidance on how to address the topics of values education and doping prevention in everyday school life.

In addition to specialist content, the focus was particularly on cross-curricular exchange. Participants discussed ways of integrating fairness, health and a responsible approach to sport into their lessons.

A particular highlight was the talk and Q&A session with Jonas Reckermann. The former professional beach volleyball player, now a teacher, spoke about his time in elite sport and shared personal insights into the importance of values, fair play and motivation. Whilst still an active athlete, he was one of the first ambassadors for the NADA Germany initiative GIVE EVERYTHING, TAKE NOTHING, and he also emphasised the importance of early doping education at the event.

Teachers play a vital role in doping education. They instil fundamental values in young people and guide pupils on their journey – including in sport. They are therefore a key target group for the TOGETHER AGAINST DOPING education programme.

The programme provides teachers with a wide range of teaching resources that enable them to address the topics of doping education, fairness and health in a way that is age-appropriate and practical within the school curriculum.
