The National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA Germany) took part in the Tunis International Anti-Doping Seminar, which was hosted by the National Anti-Doping Agency of Tunisia (ANAD Tunisia) and the Institute of National Anti-Doping Organisations (iNADO) in Tunisia. The international seminar offered representatives from anti-doping organisations across various countries the opportunity to exchange views on current developments, challenges and prospects in anti-doping work.
Workshops, presentations and panel discussions covered topics including the implementation of the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code, the independence of anti-doping organisations, international cooperation, and current developments in the areas of intelligence and investigations, and contamination. The increasing digitalisation of the anti-doping system and new digital tools were also discussed.
Another key focus was on communication in the anti-doping sector. NADA Germany, represented by board member Dr Eva Bunthoff, took part in a panel discussion on the topic ‘Communication around Anti-Doping: Challenges and Opportunities’ and spoke about the challenges and opportunities presented by modern anti-doping communication.
This international exchange highlighted how important cooperation and the sharing of experiences between anti-doping organisations are for the further development of a fair and credible anti-doping system.
