Exchange with Düsseldorf public prosecutor's office

20.02.2024

Public prosecutors from the Center and Contact Point for the Prosecution of Organised Crimes (ZeOS NRW) of the Düsseldorf public prosecutor's office met with the National Anti Doping Agency of Germany in Bonn. The aim of the joint meeting was to expand anti-doping knowledge for state investigating authorities and to expand the exchange of experience between the specialised investigating authorities and NADA Germany.

In 2022, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia set up a special department for doping at ZeOS NRW in Düsseldorf. Since then, the public prosecutor's office has been the central office for doping offences and the point of contact for NADA Germany in North Rhine-Westphalia. The Anti-Doping Act, which came into force in December 2015, forms the basis for the exchange. The establishment of public prosecution focal points for doping offences in the various federal states supports anti-doping work in Germany. A joint approach increases effectiveness.
