On 25 January 2023, the newly constituted Prevention Commission of the National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA Germany) met digitally for the first time. Dr Marc Wonneberger, Federal Institute for Sport Science, was appointed chairman of the commission by NADA Germany’s Supervisory Board.
The Commission is composed of proven experts from science and academia as well as from sports practice. The members of the commission are available to NADA Germany in an advisory capacity. NADA Germany is particularly pleased about the involvement of the successful judoka Anna-Maria Wagner (two-time medallist at the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021 and world champion) in this committee.
All members of the Prevention Commission contribute their expertise in the field of doping prevention to NADA Germany's work from different perspectives. They have an important supporting function for the institution and contribute with their know-how to the strategic further development of the foundation's doping prevention work.
Commission members are Prof Dr Bärbel Kracke (Chair of Educational Psychology, Friedrich Schiller University Jena), Alina Modolo (Trainer Academy of the German Olympic Sports Confederation), Anna-Maria Wagner (judoka) and Jürgen Ertelt (social and media pedagogue, former coordinator at the Federal Republic of Germany's Office for International Youth Work).
All commissions of NADA Germany have an advisory function; their members are not involved in the operative business of the foundation.
