WADA launches Athlete Center, its new platform for managing whereabouts information

23.10.2026

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has revised the platform for managing whereabouts information and released a new user interface for ADAMS (Anti-Doping Administration and Management System) called the “Athlete Center.” The “Athlete Center” will gradually replace the previous “Athlete Central.”

In developing the system, WADA collaborated with athletes, athlete representatives, and National Anti-Doping-Organisations. The goal is to simplify the management and submission of whereabouts information.

To give users time to become familiar with the new platform, the “Athlete Center” and “Athlete Central” will operate in parallel during the fourth quarter of 2026. Athletes and Anti-Doping-Organisations can already begin exploring the new “Athlete Center” while continuing to use “Athlete Central.”

The first quarterly submission of whereabouts information via “Athlete Center” is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

Before the first submission of whereabouts information for the first quarter of 2027, athletes must complete two one-time steps:

  • review and confirm their profile information,
  • recreate their saved addresses.

Those who complete these steps during the transition phase will be prepared for the first submission of whereabouts data via the “Athlete Center.”
