Dr. Andrea Gotzmann, Vorstandsvorsitzende der Nationalen Anti Doping Agentur (NADA), nahm in diesem Jahr am 21. Symposium on Anti-Doping Science der US-amerikanischen Anti-Doping Agentur USADA in Colorado Springs teil. Mit einem Vortrag zum Dried Blood Spot und Remote Testing, den sie gemeinsam mit Dominic Müser (Sportradar) unter dem Titel „Virtual Testing: A New and Effective Detection and Deterrence Strategy“ hielt, wurden die Erkenntnisse aus verschiedenen NADA-Projekten vorgestellt.Zudem trug Gotzmann als Teilnehmerin einer Diskussionsrunde zum Wissenschaftssymposium bei. Rund 100 internationale Expertinnen und Experten aus der Forschung, von internationalen Sportfachverbänden sowie Nationalen Anti-Doping Organisationen nahmen an dem Symposium mit dem Titel „The Elite Athlete: Differentiating Extraordinarily Normal from Abnormally Extraordinary“ teil.
Im Anschluss an das Symposium besuchte Gotzmann die Geschäftsstelle der USADA in Colorado Springs. Bei dem Austausch mit Travis Tygart, CEO der USADA, standen vor allem die neuesten Erkenntnisse des Symposiums sowie Themen zur internationalen Kooperation und Weiterentwicklung der Anti-Doping-Arbeit im Fokus.

NADA Germany's Chairperson visits USADA Office and Science Symposium
Dr. Andrea Gotzmann, Chair of the Executive Board of the National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA Germany), attended this year's 21st Symposium on Anti-Doping Science of the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) in Colorado Springs. With a presentation on Dried Blood Spot and Remote Testing, which she gave together with Dominic Müser (Sportradar) under the title "Virtual Testing: A New and Effective Detection and Deterrence Strategy", the findings from various NADA Germany projects were presented. In addition, Gotzmann contributed to the science symposium as a participant in a panel discussion. Around 100 international experts from research, international sports federations and national anti-doping organisations attended the symposium entitled "The Elite Athlete: Differentiating Extraordinarily Normal from Abnormally Extraordinary".
Following the symposium, Gotzmann visited the USADA office in Colorado Springs. The exchange with Travis Tygart, CEO of USADA, focused primarily on the latest findings of the symposium as well as topics relating to international cooperation and the further development of anti-doping work.
