Die Expertinnen und Experten der U.S. Anti-Doping Agentur (USADA), Allison Wagner, Director of Athlete and International Relations und Dr. Matthew Fedoruk, Chief Science Officer, waren zu einem Austausch zu Gast bei der Nationalen Anti Doping Agentur (NADA) in Bonn.
Auf der Agenda standen aktuelle Fragen der internationalen Zusammenarbeit auf allen Ebenen der Anti-Doping-Arbeit. Zentraler Punkt der Gespräche war der Ansatz zur Weiterentwicklung des Dopingkontrollsystems auf Basis der Dried Blood Spot (DBS)-Technik. Die ersten Projekterfahrungen der NADA bei der Umsetzung einer Remote Testing-Lösung mittels DBS waren von großem Interesse für die Kolleginnen und Kollegen, die ähnliche Ansätze verfolgen.
Die NADA stellte zudem ihre neuesten Entwicklungen im Bereich der Dopingprävention vor. Die Etablierung des neuen e-Learning-Systems chunkx und die vollkommen neu gestalteten Broschüren für unterschiedliche Zielgruppen stießen auf großes Interesse. Eine nachhaltige und wertebasierte Präventionsarbeit stellt bei beiden Organisationen eine wichtige Säule der täglichen Anti-Doping-Arbeit dar.
Man vereinbarte, diese Form des Austausches regelmäßig zu wiederholen und gemeinsame Projekte im Bereich DBS-Kontrollen und Präventionsarbeit zu forcieren.

USADA visits NADA Germany in Bonn
The experts of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), Allison Wagner, Director of Athlete and International Relations, and Dr. Matthew Fedoruk, Chief Science Officer, were guests of the National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA Germany) in Bonn for an exchange.
The agenda included current issues of international cooperation at all levels of anti-doping work. The central point of the discussions was the approach to the further development of the anti-doping testing programme on the basis of the Dried Blood Spot (DBS) technique. NADA Germany's initial project experience in implementing a remote testing solution using DBS was of great interest to the colleagues who are pursuing similar approaches.
NADA Germany also presented its latest developments in the field of doping prevention. The establishment of the new e-learning system chunkx and the completely redesigned brochures for different target groups met with great interest. Sustainable and value-based prevention work is an important pillar of daily anti-doping work for both organisations.
It was agreed to repeat this form of exchange regularly and to push joint projects in the area of DBS controls and prevention work.
