Die NADA trauert um Armin Baumert, der am 22. Januar 2022 im Alter von 78 Jahren verstorben ist.
Der ehemalige Leichtathlet und Leistungssportdirektor des Deutschen Sportbundes stand der NADA als Vorstandsvorsitzender von 2007 bis 2011 vor. Er hat die NADA in ihrem Reformprozess begleitet und trägt einen großen Anteil an ihrer heutigen Struktur. Für seine ehrenamtliche Tätigkeit bei der NADA und in verschiedenen Verbänden und Vereinen erhielt Armin Baumert im Jahr 2012 das Bundesverdienstkreuz. Er war ein aufrichtiger Mitstreiter für den sauberen Sport und hat wichtige Grundlagen für die Anti-Doping-Arbeit in Deutschland geschaffen.
Mit großer Achtung und gemeinsamer Trauer mit seiner Familie nimmt die NADA Abschied von Armin Baumert.

NADA mourns the death of Armin Baumert, who passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of 78.
The former track and field athlete and Director of Competitive Sports at the German Sports Federation presided over NADA as Chairman of the Executive Board from 2007 to 2011. He accompanied NADA in its reform process and played a major role in its current structure. For his voluntary work at NADA and in various associations and clubs, Armin Baumert received the Federal Cross of Merit in 2012. He was a sincere comrade-in-arms for clean sport and laid important foundations for anti-doping work in Germany.
It is with great respect and shared grief with his family that NADA takes leave of Armin Baumert.
