Die Gründe für Doping sind vielfältig und oft geht dem Griff zu verbotenen Substanzen oder Methoden eine individuelle Geschichte voraus. Dabei hat auch das Umfeld der Sportlerinnen und Sportler einen Einfluss auf den Weg von Sportlerinnen und Sportlern. Fechterin Anne Sauer (Athleten Deutschland e.V.), die Journalistin Jessica Sturmberg (Deutschlandfunk), der Wissenschaftler Prof. Michael Schaffrath (TU München) sowie der Ressortleiter Prävention Michael Behr (NADA) diskutierten, welchen Einfluss das Umfeld haben kann und welche Umfeldfaktoren einen sauberen Sport begünstigen.
Karim Chtai und Marco Knipp, beide Mitarbeitende des Ressorts Doping-Kontroll-System, stellten das Thema intelligente Kontrollplanung vor und zeigten die Anwendung der seit 2021 nutzbaren Matrix des Dried Blood Spots. Journalistinnen und Journalisten hatten die Möglichkeit, selber einen Dried Blood Spot-Test durchzuführen. Christoph Berg erläuterte die wichtigsten Änderungen der Verbotsliste 2024 sowie ausgewählte medizinische Themen. Dr. Lars Mortsiefer stellte die Forschungs- und Fortbildungsinitiative für Dopingstrafrecht (FIDoS) vor und thematisierte aktuelle rechtliche Themen. Einen Einblick in die internationale Anti-Doping-Arbeit erhielten die Journalistinnen und Journalisten durch Jorge Leyva, CEO des Instituts für Nationale Anti-Doping Organisationen (iNADO).

Journalists' workshop 2023
There are many reasons for doping and often an individual story precedes the use of banned substances or methods. The athlete's environment also has an influence on their path. Fencer Anne Sauer (Athleten Deutschland e.V.), journalist Jessica Sturmberg (Deutschlandfunk), scientist Prof. Michael Schaffrath (TU Munich) and Head of Education Michael Behr (NADA Germany) discussed what influence the environment can have and which environmental factors are conducive to clean sport.

Dr. Lars Mortsiefer presented the Training and Research Initiative on Criminal Doping Law (Fortbildungs- und Forschungsinitiative Dopingstrafrecht, FIDoS) and discussed current legal issues. Journalists were given an insight into international anti-doping work by Jorge Leyva, CEO of the Institute for National Anti-Doping Organizations (iNADO).
