Der Aufsichtsrat der Nationalen Anti Doping Agentur Deutschland (NADA) hat Dr. Andrea Gotzmann und Dr. Lars Mortsiefer für eine weitere Amtszeit in den Vorstand berufen. Gleichzeitig bestätigte der Aufsichtsrat Gotzmann als Vorstandsvorsitzende.
Gemäß Stiftungsverfassung der NADA wird der Vorstand alle fünf Jahre vom Aufsichtsrat berufen, eine Wiederberufung des amtierenden Vorstandes ist möglich. Gotzmann und Mortsiefer übernahmen im September 2011 die geschäftsführende Tätigkeit der Stiftung und wurden im Jahr 2016 wiederberufen. Sie treten nun ihre dritte Amtszeit an.
„Wir bedanken uns für das große Vertrauen der Mitglieder des Aufsichtsrats und deren Wertschätzung für unsere Arbeit ausdrücklich,“ sagten Gotzmann und Mortsiefer. „Die Anti-Doping-Arbeit stellt eine wichtige Säule für die Integrität des Sports in Deutschland dar und erfordert unseren kontinuierlichen Einsatz. Im Fokus all unserer Maßnahmen steht der Schutz der sauberen Athletinnen und Athleten. Diese Arbeit werden wir gemeinsam mit dem gesamten NADA-Team auch in Zukunft professionell und motiviert fortsetzen“, unterstrichen die beiden Vorstände.

Board of NADA Germany enters third term
The Supervisory Board of the National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA) has appointed Dr Andrea Gotzmann and Dr Lars Mortsiefer to the Executive Board for a further term. At the same time, the Supervisory Board confirmed Gotzmann as Chairwoman of the Executive Board.
According to NADA's Foundation Constitution, the Executive Board is appointed by the Supervisory Board every five years; reappointment of the incumbent Executive Board is possible. Gotzmann and Mortsiefer took over as executive directors of the foundation in September 2011 and were reappointed in 2016. They are now entering their third term of office.
"We would like to express our gratitude for the great trust placed in us by the members of the Supervisory Board and their appreciation of our work," Gotzmann and Mortsiefer said. "The anti-doping work represents an important pillar for the integrity of sport in Germany and requires our continuous commitment. The focus of all our measures is the protection of clean athletes. Together with the entire NADA team, we will continue this work in the future with professionalism and motivation," the two board members emphasised.
