Die Nationale Anti Doping Agentur Deutschland (NADA) hat die ARD-Berichterstattung über eine mögliche Verschleierung von Dopingfällen in China zur Kenntnis genommen. Gleichzeitig hat die NADA auch die unterschiedlichen Stellungnahmen sowie die Gegendarstellung der Welt Anti-Doping Agentur (WADA) gelesen. Der NADA liegen jedoch keine vollständigen Unterlagen vor, um den Sachverhalt in der Tiefe kommentieren und bewerten zu können. Es sind für die NADA daher nur Rückschlüsse aus der Berichterstattung möglich, die grundsätzlich unterschiedliche Sachlagen darstellen.
Entscheidend ist jedoch, dass die WADA als maßgebliche Compliance-Institution in der Verantwortung ist, den Sachverhalt selbst oder mit Hilfe unabhängiger Expertenkommissionen oder dem Intelligence & Investigations-Netzwerk umfassend und transparent aufzuklären. Dies ist im Sinne des sauberen Sports und zum Schutz aller sauberen Athletinnen und Athleten essentiell. Die NADA steht bereit, im Rahmen ihrer internationalen Anti-Doping-Arbeit und der Mitgliedschaft im Institut für Nationale Anti-Doping Organisationen (iNADO) die Aufklärung zu unterstützen.

NADA statement on ARD reporting
The National Anti Doping Agency of Germany (NADA Germany) has taken note of the ARD report on a possible cover-up of doping cases in China. At the same time, NADA Germany has also read the various statements and the counter-statement of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). However, NADA Germany does not have complete documentation at its disposal to be able to comment on and assess the facts in depth. It is therefore only possible for NADA Germany to draw conclusions from the reports, which represent fundamentally different facts.
However, it is crucial that WADA, as the relevant compliance institution, is responsible for clarifying the facts itself or with the help of independent expert commissions or the Intelligence & Investigations Network in a comprehensive and transparent manner. This is essential in the interests of clean sport and for the protection of all clean athletes. NADA Germany stands ready to support the clarification within the framework of its international anti-doping work and its membership of the Institute forNational Anti-Doping Organisations (INADO).
