The Supervisory Board of the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA Germany) unanimously appointed Dr. Lars Mortsiefer as the new CEO of NADA during its extraordinary meeting on September 13, 2023.
Mortsiefer began his career at NADA in 2008 as Legal Counsel, later assuming the role of Chief Legal Officer, overseeing all legal aspects of NADA Germany's work. Since March 2011, Mortsiefer has been a member of the board, actively contributing to both national and international efforts in anti-doping work. As a qualified lawyer with a Ph.D., he now brings his extensive expertise to his role as CEO of NADA Germany.
His appointment followed a public call for applications and a selection process supported by an external executive search agency, as guided by the Supervisory Board.
The Supervisory Board has also decided to add another member to the NADA Germany Executive Board. The Supervisory Board and the CEO will collaborate to expedite the recruitment process and will soon commence the application procedure.
